DESIGN YOUR OWN PROGRAMME

Brainstorm with us

Work with us to co-design a programme that meets your needs and goals. We bring our 40+ years of outdoor adventure experience, our experienced instructors and qualified mental health professionals, and our Safety Management Systems.

Create an outdoor adventure programme that will be life-changing for your participants, based on our programme categories and wellbeing framework (see below). Let’s go on an adventure!

Programme categories

Depending on your needs and goals, we offer different types of programmes:

  • Educational programmes: Supporting learning through outdoor adventure. (Find out more).
  • Developmental programmes: Growing people through experience. (Find out more).
  • Therapeutic programmes: Healing and growth through outdoor adventure. (Find out more).

Wellbeing framework

We use Te Whare Tapa Wha (the house with four walls) as a framework for developing holistic wellbeing:

  • Taha Tinana (physical wellbeing),
  • Taha Hinengaro (mental and emotional wellbeing),
  • Taha Whānau (social wellbeing),
  • Taha Wairua (spiritual wellbeing) and
  • Te Whenua (our connection to the land)

All of these aspects of wellbeing are important and interlinked. We weave these themes into our programmes in a variety of different ways. Find out more about this wellbeing framework on our Programme Outcomes page.

DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMMES

Growing people through experience

Our Developmental Programmes focus on the personal and social benefits that come from outdoor adventure. The goal here isn’t to master a specific skill (like kayaking or abseiling). Instead, it’s about what happens to people when they head outdoors, take on a challenge, work together and discover their strengths. The focus is on growth, challenge and connection.
