2025 COSTS
Programme cost
We are a non-for-profit organisation so we aim to keep our costs as low as possible, to allow as many people as possible to access the great outdoors!
Because of this, we adjust the cost of our Duke of Ed programmes according to the number of participants. Rather than charge each participant a higher cost, we work out the fixed cost for each group and then divide it by the number of participants. The more participants in a group, the lower the cost for each participant. Each group will have a minimum 4 / maximum 7 participants.
Below is the MAXIMUM price that you will pay for each programme, which may be reduced (as we fill up the programme spots).

What does this price include?
Each Journey includes:
- A highly experienced, qualified instructor from Adventure Specialties Trust,
- Transport from our Christchurch office to the Journey location and back,
- Accommodation including hut fees/campsite fees (if applicable),
- Admin fee and GST included.
EXCLUSIONS
- Participants need to provide their own food
- Activity equipment is available for hire, if necessary. Please enquire for more details.
- Please note that our default outdoor activity is tramping/hiking. If your group chooses to do another activity (for example sea kayaking or mountain biking), there will be an additional cost of $30 per person per day for this extra gear hire.
