We took a group called “Mums on the Move” out kayaking with Instructor Caitlin. Isn’t it a stunning location? And they even got to hang out with some seals!!!

JOB VACANCY:

National Funding Administrator

Use your admin skills to support our non-profit by maintaining our current funding base and looking for areas of growth. This includes tasks like researching funding opportunities, writing funding applications, etc.

DO YOU NEED EXPERIENCE?

If you have experience doing something like this before, that’s awesome! If you don’t have any funding experience, but you are great at admin and have a sensible head on your shoulders, then please still get in touch! Most parts of the role can be taught on the job (maybe not the sensible part).

DETAILS:

Part-time (12 hours per week). Work remotely or come join us at the head office in West Auckland. Find out more about the job details on Seek (search Adventure Specialties Trust) or on our website (www.adventurespecialties.co.nz/vacancies)

A HUGE thank you to The Lion Foundation (@thelionfoundationnz) for their support in helping us purchase some new outdoor clothing. When we are able to supply outdoor adventure clothing and equipment to all our programme participants, it allows more people to come on adventures with us, rather than being held back by a lack of gear.

A big thank you to the Henderson-Massey Local Board for their awesome support of our mahi with new water helmets.

We have had an increase in programmes booked in with local schools in West Auckland and so we needed to increase our stock to keep them safe while having fun on our adventures! These adventures are now all booked in for the beginning of 2022.

Photo (above) of Rutherford College girls coasteering trip earlier this year, sporting some pretty cool water helmets.

We can’t wait for the lockdown restrictions to lift so we can get out there again!
