WHITE WATER KAYAK INSTRUCTOR TRAINING
This is a week long training programme designed for those who are wanting to improve on their own kayaking and instruction skills and for those looking at the possibility of sitting NZOIA kayak 1.
Emphasis will be placed on how to instruct people on grade 1 – 2 water, looking at teaching tips, safety and management.
Your own kayaking will be examined and improved.
FLATWATER KAYAK TRAINING
Each participant can see where they are in relation to the New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association Flatwater Award, learn the necessary skills and give each participant a clear idea of what to work on in order to achieve the award.
The Flatwater Award as with most outdoor qualifications requires the participants personal performance to be above the level they are leading and teaching others in. Ideally the people instructing flatwater sessions should be able to kayak with some confidence in Grade 1-2 moving water.
RISK MANAGEMENT TRAINING
We offer 1 to 3 day Risk Management training programmes for Instructor training programmes, teachers, youth leaders and other training providers.
All programmes are certificated through the New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association (NZOIA).
