Hey it’s a capital send off and anything is possible. A short paddle across the harbour and a cycle leg gets you to the southern toe of the mighty Tararua Ranges and the famous Southern Crossing. After a challenge like this, your fit cycling legs will blast you up through the Manawata and to the Rangitkei River for a float down its spectacular gorges. A few more cycled K’s and the final destination comes into view. You strap on your boots and in best Sir Ed style “knock the ….??? off”. Hey it’s a family site. We don’t use that language here!
